SFWA Annual General Meeting

Dear member,

I just want to thank everyone who attended Monday night's AGM, hosted by SFWA president, Chick Young.  

We're gutted to lose two valued committee members in Gareth Law and Alison McConnell, who have stepped down. 

Gareth's contribution as our awards dinner secretary over the last six years has been immeasurable.  

However, I'm pleased to say that Graeme Croser has taken on that role within the committee ahead of our 2024 event. 

With Gareth and Alison leaving, I'm delighted to welcome Andy Newport from the Daily Record on to the SFWA committee. Andy's enthusiasm to help will make him a great addition going forward.

 The 2024 annual awards dinner will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Glasgow, on Sunday 19 May next year, so get the date in your diary. 

As ever, if any member has any issues they want to raise with the committee regarding facilities, access or anything else, please get in touch.
