Awards dinner now planned for July

The annual awards dinner for season 20/21 is now scheduled to take place on 25 July.

We had originally planned to host it on Sunday 16 May at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Glasgow. 

However, you will all appreciate, by hoping to hold an event of that magnitude so early in the summer, we were always being fairly optimistic.

With current Covid guidelines, the hotel is still unsure as to when it will be able to accommodate events like ours and what restrictions may still be in place.So, the SFWA committee has taken the decision to delay the dinner until Sunday 25 July.

We hope this will give us the best possible chance of hosting it in the manner we're accustomed to. 

We're in constant dialogue with the hotel and we all know the situation can change very quickly. But hopefully, it can go ahead as planned, so put the date in your diary.

As usual, the voting forms for Player, Manager, Young Player and International Player of the Year will be sent out soon via email so keep an eye out for them. 

Our plans are still to announce the winners around the same time, towards the end of the season.
