Chris wins at the Home of Golf

Chris Jack has claimed his second SFWA golf title of the year after emerging victorious in the autumn outing.

The Rangers Review writer lifted the spring crown at Kirkhill GC earlier this year. And he has now added another piece of silverware following a narrow win at The Duke’s.

Members and guests were treated to stunning views over St Andrews. The Par-71 course is owned by the Old Course Hotel and was designed by Peter Thompson.

Chris picked up an impressive 20 Stableford points on the back nine to finish with 31 overall and see off competition from Mike Aitken. Ben Ramage of the Scottish Sun finished third.

There was success for Hibernian at the Home of Golf. Adam Tomlinson collected the prize for the nearest to the pin, while Gavin Rittoo won the longest drive competition and the overall guest gong.

The Committee would like to thank members and guests for their support of the event and to sponsors William Hill for their ongoing backing. Our thanks also to the staff at The Duke’s for their assistance on the day and for producing a course in such fine condition for players to enjoy.
